Based on the forecast of snow accumulations of up to 18", tomorrow, April 4th, will be a Blizzard Bag day for students in grades K-3 and a Remote Learning day for students in grades 4-12. Principals will send a follow-up email with Blizzard Bag/Remote Learning expectations.

Due to the impending storm and the April 5th early release, there will be a change to the school day on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. April 3rd will be an early release for all students while Friday, April 5th will be a full day.
We will continue to monitor the storm. If a cancellation on Thursday, April 4th is necessary, that day will be a Blizzard Bag day for students in K - 3 and a remote day for students in grades 4 - 12.

BES Middle School (Gr 6-8)- Join us for the last dance of the year, Disco Disco Dance Party! The dance will be on Friday, April 5th, from 6-8PM. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door.

Good morning! Though some areas are still without power, Barnstead Elementary School has power and heat, and buses are running. We are looking forward to seeing students at school today!
Prospect Mountain High School, Alton Central School, and Barnstead Elementary School will all be closed on Saturday, March 23, 2024. All previously-scheduled activities are canceled.
The Barnstead School District Annual Meeting, scheduled for Saturday at 9:00 a.m., has been postponed due to a National Weather Service Winter Storm Warning. The meeting will now be held Monday, March 25, at 6:00 p.m. in the BES cafeteria. Free child care will be provided at BES by PMHS student-athletes.

for The Production of Alice @ Wonderland! Admission is $ 5.00 per person and age 5 and under are free.

BES- 2nd graders finished the St. Patrick's Day escape room and followed a treasure map that the leprechaun left behind.
BES-Ms. Wisler's third grade class joined Mrs. DeFlumeri's kindergarten class for Book Buddies!
There will be no preschool classes at the BES Early Learning Center on Friday, March 15. Barnstead Elementary School IS open today for kindergarten through eighth grade.
BES Student Council Presents- St. Patrick's $1 Hat Day is Fri, 3/15. When you give $1 to wear your hat, you will also be given a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize! Will you have good luck?
