To the communities of Alton and Barnstead. You are all invited to celebrate and support our student artists and the visual arts in New Hampshire. Prospect Mountain has four students and eight pieces of artwork that are participating in Student Art Month (SAM). Winners will be announced very early in May. All participating artists will be celebrated at the May 10th Fisher Cats game in Manchester. Before the game all of the students' artwork will be shown on the Jumbotron. Winners will be recognized on the field to receive their prizes and throw in one of the first pitches. After the game there will be a fireworks show. You can buy tickets at a discount at this link:

Power has been restored at Barnstead Elementary School. School is in session. We hope everyone has a great Friday.
7 months ago, Prospect Mountain Schools
Eversource has estimated that power should be restored at BES by 8:30 am. School will remain in session as long as that estimate is not extended. The school has emergency lighting and water pressure that should last for at least the next hour. We will keep parents $ guardians informed.

Power is out at Barnstead Elementary School this morning (Friday, April 12). BES parents and guardians have received email and phone notifications. School staff will welcome students who are already in transit to the school as we assess the situation and talk with Eversource. More information will come as soon as it is available.

Power has gone out around Maple Street in Center Barnstead, including at Barnstead Elementary School. Eversource has been notified and school staff are assessing the situation. For now, we plan to unload buses when they arrive rather than send children back to homes where parents & guardians may have left to go to work. However, the school has limited ability to safely operate without power, and an early closure may be necessary. We will keep parents & guardians informed as we assess and receive more information. Families should prepare for the possibility that we are forced to close and send students home.
