Saturday, March 21, is the annual Barnstead School District meeting. The meeting starts at 9:00 a.m. in the school cafeteria. Registered voters should arrive to check in before 9:00.
Citizens who arrive early may enter the school through the new addition adjacent to the school parking lot. Representatives from Milestone Construction will allow entry through the construction gates next to their office trailer, and visitors will be able to see the inside of the addition that will house a gymnasium, locker rooms, Art, Music, and Health classrooms, and other new spaces.
Construction is progressing on schedule, with new progress daily. Concrete floor slabs have been poured, and most interior walls have been framed. The gym and stage spaces are taking shape. We are excited to invite the public in to see all the work that has been done.
If you would like to see inside the addition, please arrive at the school between 8:00 and 8:45 to enter through the construction area.
All parking will be in the school's satellite parking lot (between the soccer and baseball fields), at the Early Learning Center across the street from BES, and on Maple Street. The bus loop in front of the school will be reserved for handicapped parking.
