On behalf of our new Principal Kara Robdau and Superintendent Tim Broadrick, we are all grateful to Commander Kris Furtney and the members of Barnstead's American Legion Post 42, to Chief Paul Poirier and the officers of the Barnstead Police Department, and to all the local and state officials who joined us this morning.
We had a tremendous turnout today and were able to teach more than 25 students about flag etiquette and how to properly raise, lower, fold, and store the American flag. Next, many of these students will work with their peers and school staff to create morning and afternoon flag details to raise and lower the flag at BES. And, everybody got ice cream! Thank you to everyone involved!
